What happens today, in one sentence
This site sets no cookies. The only thing it keeps on your device is the answer you give to the consent banner, and that answer never leaves your browser.
The banner is there anyway, and the reason is below: it is the gate, and a gate is built before the thing that has to pass through it.
Why there is a banner when there are no cookies
Because there will be. IDCare Digital intends to connect a CRM and a marketing automation tool (Mautic), and possibly campaign measurement. All of them write to the device of the person visiting.
A measurement tool added to a site with no consent mechanism starts collecting the instant the code is pasted in, and the banner arrives weeks later as an apology. Building the gate first, and connecting the tools behind it, is the only order in which consent means anything.
So the banner’s wording is conditional and true in both states: measurement and marketing cookies run if you allow them, and none is installed yet.
What is kept on your device
One entry, in the browser’s local storage:
| Name | Where | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
finder.consent.v1 | localStorage for this domain | Your answer for each category, and the date you gave it | Until you clear it or change your choice |
It is not a cookie. The difference matters: a cookie travels to the server on every request, and this travels nowhere — it stays in your browser and is read only by the site itself, so as not to ask you again.
Storing the answer to the consent question does not itself need consent: it is exactly what you asked for by answering. Everything else does.
The categories, and what is in each one today
Strictly necessary — always on. Remembering your answer. Nothing else.
Measurement. Counting which pages are read, so we can tell what is useful. No tool is connected today. If one is, this page will name the tool, the specific cookies and their lifetime before it is switched on.
Marketing. Recognising a visit that arrived from a campaign and linking it to an enquiry — what the CRM or Mautic would do. No tool is connected today, and the same rule applies: this page changes first, not afterwards.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Every page’s footer carries a Cookie settings control that reopens the banner. Withdrawing consent has to be as easy as giving it, and that control exists for that reason.
Refusing is as easy as accepting, too: the banner’s two buttons are the same size and the same prominence, and not answering counts as refusing. Nothing runs until you choose.
Separately, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage from its privacy settings.
What the claim that there are no cookies today rests on
“We only use necessary cookies” is the easiest sentence in the world to write and one of the hardest to verify. Here is what you can check for yourself:
No cookies. Nothing in this site’s code writes a cookie. The storage panel in your browser’s developer tools, under cookies for this domain, is empty.
No third-party requests. The site’s content security policy restricts every resource to this one domain: scripts, styles, images, fonts and network connections. Fonts are served from here rather than from a font service. There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no social widget, no embedded video, no chat, no map service. While you read, your browser talks to this domain and to no other.
No accounts. There is no sign-in, so there is no session to keep.
The scripts on this site
All served from this domain:
| Script | What it does | Does it store anything? |
|---|---|---|
| Consent banner | Asks, remembers your answer, and is the only route by which anything non-essential could ever run | Yes: the entry in the table above |
| Enquiry forms | Keeps what you typed on the page if a submission fails, rather than losing it | No: in the page’s own memory, which goes when the tab closes |
| Animated demonstrations | Animate the sequences on the home page and inside, and provide the pause controls beside them | No |
Server logs
Your visit reaches a web server, and web servers keep operational logs. Microsoft Azure hosts this site and its platform logs may include your IP address, the page requested and your browser’s identifier. They are Microsoft’s logs, kept for Microsoft’s retention periods, and we do not use them to analyse readers or join them to anything.
That is not a cookie and is not subject to consent, but it is the honest answer to “is anything about my visit recorded anywhere”, which is why it is on this page.
[TO CONFIRM: whether Azure Static Web Apps sets any cookie of its own once the production resource is configured. The site’s code sets none, and neither does the platform in the default configuration used here, but some Azure features — built-in authentication, or Front Door if it is added later (open question Q19) — do set cookies. Verify against the production site before publishing, and verify again if either is switched on.]
What forces an update to this page
- Connecting the CRM, Mautic or campaign measurement. The tool, its cookies and their lifetime have to be named here, and they have to be behind the right category, before it is switched on.
- Embedded video. A YouTube or Vimeo video sets third-party cookies when the page loads, not when play is pressed. Any video must be served from this domain or behind a facade that has to be clicked.
- A map, a font service or a chat widget. All are third-party requests and all would have to be added here.
[TO CONFIRM: whether your adviser wants the usual per-browser instruction links here. They are conventional in Spanish cookie policies.]
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| 2026-09-08 | First version. Verified against the built site: no cookies, no storage, no third-party requests. |
| 2026-09-15 | Consent mechanism added, ahead of connecting a CRM and Mautic. The site still sets no cookies; it now keeps the banner’s answer in localStorage. |
